I need to get some more bronze corys so that my two will feel happier in a larger group. Do they HAVE to be bronze, or will peppered corys also help?

Or will peppered corys form their own separate group?

Cory's are typically better kept in groups of the same kind. They tend to be less stressed out and shoal together more. There is nothing saying that you cannot get another kind, but in most cases they will kind of keep to themselves. Cory's are some what of a schooling fish in the wild and can be found in pretty good sized groups. In my experience, they are more active and playful if you keep groups of 5+ of the same kind. At one time, I had 12 Julii's and it was great to see them play and even school together...plus it made feeding time a lot of fun to watch. If it was me, I would get more Bronze but it is completely up to you.
