Brown Beard Algae

This stuff looks very similar to bba (black beard algae) but it's definitely a very brown color. This happened a few days after I rescaped this tank and it's literally covered every single plant and only the plants. I don't see it on any of my hardscape. It even looks like it's on the moss. Is this just a different form of bba? Or something else. Anyway how do I get rid of it? I've been using API Algaefix and Flourish Excel but nothing is changing. What do you guys think?

I thought it was debris trapped in the algae but after using a siphon that doesn't seem to be the case.
