Buying Fish Online?

If you buy fish online how can you handle it if you work?
I am concerned if they arrive while I am at work and they are left sitting on the porch until I get home they might not survive.

Has anyone bought fish on line and how do you handle it if you work?

You can have them shipped to your work and I believe shipping to a business is actually cheaper.

Take the day off to get the fish!!! They are much more fun than work

Yep, this works the best for me. Of course I have multiple tanks at work, so that works out as well .

I see the o.p.'s point though, seriously, if your not able to leave work or have the facilities to deal with a delivery at work, are there any other options? I'm not tryin to hijack the thread but I've often wondered the same thing. I work 2nd shift and my mail usually comes about 1/2hr. after i leave the house so are there any alternatives?

I think you may be able to ask for the post office to hold the package for you until you can receive it.......they still spend a while longer in the package, but, they don't sit in the cold or hot on your porch.

Or you can have it delivered to someone who you know will be home during the day.
