I have a betta and a black mystery snail together in a 2.5 gallon tank. Today, my betta fish had disappeared over the night. I have no idea where she is. i looked through the entire tank and the filter box, but she wasn't there. I even got desperate and checked the sink and the trash can, but nothing. I thought that maybe the snail ate her in the night. Is that even possible? i thought snails only ate algae and fish food and other things like that, but not legit fish. Is that possible? if not, then where is my betta?

They'll eat dead fish and reduce it to nothing but a skeleton. Happened to a neon of mine awhile back. Bettas are jumpers. Check around your tank, move plants around everything

Hi. My tank does have a lid so she couldn't have jumped out. I checked all over my tank, but I was looking for a body, not a skeleton, so I'll have to do another check for that.
