There are a few tiny real plants but it's almost all fake.

This is a 29 gallon with a lot of PetSmart stuff ...

20 lbs White Supernaturals sand, 20 lbs larger size red-brown gravel (should have used less) and a few packs of reddish rocks.

1 each Marineland a, b, and c packs of fake plants.

3 mats of short fake plants from the betta section (so much cheaper than the Marineland mats). I cut each up into odd shapes so it'd look more natural.

I purposely poured the water roughly to make the uneven floor.

And then topped off with one very fake driftwood thingie that I miss a lot now.

Back is painted, just cheapo acrylic craft paint. Black swirled with barn red to make it warmer, and a touch of white for depth.

Those silver dollars live the camera. I feel like I'm in that fish scene from Evan almighty when I'm near the tank.

My old 29 gal. Heavy plants in one side, and rock formation on the other.

Your tanks amazing what's in with your dollars, they say they are community fish but supposedly they can be aggressive?

Thank you. There are 10 SDs, 10 pictus cats, 2 bichirs, a 12" black ghost knife, and I have 4 kissing gouramis in quarantine. The silver dollars tear up plants. They're community safe, in a large tank. I don't know how they are in a small tank as I've only kept them in the 125. They can get pretty aggressive with each other but don't bother other fish. They spawn almost every day.

ImageUploadedByAquarium Advice1413937509.989166.jpg this is my 29 gallon. I can't have live plants in this tank since my blue lobster thinks of them as s buffett that must consumed as quickly as possible. lol

Same I have a molly plants big. No no with her

Silver dollars are known to eat real plants so their testing those to see if they like but guess don't like plastic taste lol but nice setup

I also only have fake since I have silver dollars. They are enormous and I've kept them with rainbows, rasboras, swordtails, cories, angels, tetras, and catfish with no aggression issues and no one being eaten! My tank is pretty sparse at the moment, I had tons of other plants in there but it made the SDs a little disgruntled that they didn't have as much swimming space.
