So I saw that you can lower your Cl2 by putting carbon in your tank. Do you just have to put it on your gravel? And how much per liter?
 
The preferred method is to treat tank water with a conditioner such as seachem prime. Carbon in your filter is an option. But it does not last long. If you run carbon I would still recommend
prime as it also removes/locks up other metals and elements.
