Catfish

I have set up a 55gal tank that is currently empty and would love a baby Redtailed catfish. Unfortunately I can't afford a 1,000 gal tank so my question is...are there any smaller cats (4"-8") that resemble the body type of the Redtail? I don't really care for the skinny sleek cats. More of a short wide bruiser type than a minnow with whiskers lol. Thanks in advance for any help.

Pictus catfish are pretty cool. I think they get 6-8". They do good in groups, so you could get 5 of them, and they are pretty cool to watch when they school.
