I bought my son a 10 gallon tank and it came with the dual bulb hood. He's only 11, this isn't going to be a fancy tank. It WILL be planted, but no CO2. Not 100% sure which plants yet. I will be using some from my main tank for it. My main tank is medium light, so I have a few options.

I got 2 of the 13 watt 6500K daylight CFLs for it. After reading more about it, that is still considered low light because of the way those bulbs disburse light, correct? Is it ENOUGH light? Should I get 2 of the 23 watt bulbs instead?
Thanks so much! You guys are awesome. (y)

Depends on which plants you are trying to grow. Anubias, java ferns, mosses , crypts, dwarf sag (to name a few) should be fine with those bulbs. If you feel that they need more, swapping them out with the higher wattage bulbs is always an option.
