chiclid ID help

So there is a tank at lfs and I need to know what kinda chiclid it is. I cannot take a pic so the description is this.

Its tiny right now about an inch it has a tan body with 2 darker brown markings please help asap

It does look like that. It looks like a fairy chiclid but without the yellow

Are chiclids born a different color and do they get markings as they get older?

they will change color as they get older well most will and markings can get darker or lighter with age

Those are some sort of brichardi.. they're a tanganyikan
