Venustus (Nimbochromis Venustus)
– Maximum size: 10 inches
– Origin: Lake Malawi
– Relatively aggressive. Keep only 1 of this species
– Light brown with dark brown patches. When males get larger, the cheeks & fin tips turn dark blue. Females aren’t as vividly colored.

I think this is the one

I don't mean to be rude, but I am 100% positive it's not a Venustus. I also apologize for the bubbles in the picture because I was mid water change.

Ya I understand that and I will see if one petsmart friend know about those

Maybe doesn't fit conversation
My water has been green for 6 week
Pet shop says do 50 percent change weekly
Not working

I have 12 African cichlids in my 75 gallon tank none that will get over 6 inches
Thankfully I'm not facing any temperament issues.
My tank was crystal clear I noticed it got a little cloudy next day water is green
Pet smart tested my water said nitrates are high do 50 percent water change and conditioner
I've done this 6 weeks in a row water is still green

Sorry I just got on this site last night I couldn't find out how to do that

By the way your cichlid looks like a. Pseudotropheus Demasoni
