cleaning new plants

hey guys! I'm going to get some new plants tomorrow. in the past my plants have cause my tank to have snails, daphnia, hydra and planeria! how do I prevent this? what's the easiest way to clean plants?

Depending on how hardy the plants are, you can do a saltwater bath for a couple minutes. That should kill the hitchhikers but the plants should be ok

that is handy as I have some aquarium salt already... how do I do this?
