Can I soak my plastic plants and decor in baking soda and vinegar and water to remove diatoms or does only bleach and water work?

Peroxide, vinegar hot water, bleach baths... but I would honestly go live plants, your 20 gallon wouldn't be hard and real plants actually benefit the tank
