What is the advice please for when doing a WC on a Betta tank? I understand they are good jumpers!

Same as you would any other fish. I have yet to have a betta to jump out of tank at any point in time.

My bettas were never jumpers. In fact, the biggest problem I ever had was them getting too curious about the tube.

Even more than with most fish, regular water changes are the key to a happy betta, so don't be afraid. (y)

Thanks Barliman. I'm just in the process of a fishless cycle & trying to get prepared for the big day! I've been doing a lot of research so hopefully all will be OK. (y)

Bettas are excellent jumpers. Thats how they get between bodies of water which gives rise to the myth that they live in puddles.

That being said, they will typically follow the flow of water with jumping.

As for water changes, just do it like you would on any tank. Its not a big deal.
