Cloudy fishless cycle

Is it normal for a tank to get a little cloudy during a fishless cycle? Ammonia has not started dropping yet

Yes, as far as I know it's pretty normal. I'm actually going through a fishless cycle and my water is now a little cloudy. Although I was able to add some filter media from an established tank.
