clown pleco and mopani wood question

I just got a clown pleco and mopani wood. Will he eat or at least suck on the mopani wood? Should I do anything to the wood before adding it to tank. Its from zoo Med.

Yes, clown plecos eat mostly wood so that is crucial for them. Soak it for a while in dechlorinated water, changing the water daily. When it stops turning the water tea colored it should be ready to go.
