colony of white spots on the glass? - Aquarium Advice

i noticed this about 2" round colony of white stuff forming on my glass just now... can anyone give me any lads to what it could be.... i looked and its not nematodes, i've seen those before.... any help would be apppreciated as im having problems with this tank... thanks!!!

Well, it might be snail eggs. Do you have snails? Remind me of the fish you have - some egg layers would lay eggs on the glass. Do you happen to be running [acronym:d76d5f8ab1="Do it yourself"]DIY[/acronym:d76d5f8ab1] [acronym:d76d5f8ab1="Carbon dioxide"]CO2[/acronym:d76d5f8ab1] for plants? That can sometimes emit a white fuzzy goo.

I dont have co2... nor do I have snails. I have 2 Bronze Corys, 1 ottocinclus, 2 lemon tetras, 1 columbian tetra, 1 figure 8 puffer, and a ghost shrimp i was hoping figure 8 would eat, but it seems like he might end up a resident. i also have a current nematode problem...
