Columbian shark acting weird

Hi,
i just bought a new shark for my 75 g tank and first day when i put him in the tank he was swimming nice around the tank. The next morning when i woke up i saw him at the right top corner of the tank swimming a couple o inches in each direction and he hasnt moved since. Thats been going on now for about a day. He doesnt want to go away from that corner. Is that normal for a new fish?

Did you acclimate the fish? How long has the tank been set up.

No that does not sound like normal behavior for a catfish. Could you give us your tank size, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate and ph? Also, what else do you have in the tank? How long has the tank been set up and how did you acclimate the fish when you put it in the tank?

Is it a adult or juvenile ?

What type of tank ?,Freshwater or brackish ?

Adults need brackish conditions, juveniles start out freshwater but need converted as they mature.
