conch shells
Hello All! I have a question regarding conch shells which I picked up off the beach in Antigua 14 years ago. They have been outside as decorations, but I am wondering if I boil and clean them, could they go in my oscar tanks?? They are very faded and weathered, but very sentimental!!
I am a complete newbee at this posting bit, so please bare with me. Thankyou in advance!! Maureen |

I think that they would make fine decorations. They may slowly decompose in the tank increasing the hardness of the water. But with regular water changes, I doubt a few shells will make much of an impact on water chemistry.

They probably will slowly decompose and develop holes.
