I have a 150watt submersible heater that I acquired @ a tag sale. I put it in a tank the other day and it works ok, but there were noticable beads of water in the glass tube. I took it out of the water for fear of having it explode.........

Anyone have this kind of experience......should I chuck it?

I would probably toss it, as it sounds like water is getting inside. Or, if you can find the crack or hole that is allowing water inside and cover it, then it might be okay to keep...but better safe than sorry.

:)

The sealant around the top may be all dried out and/or there may be a tiny hairline crack in the glass.
Definitely toss it - it will likely fail to do its job, and you might get a shock.

junk it, I've had heaters I bought used crack inside tanks do to small cracks or bad seals, even if it worked, you stil lrun the risk of an electrical fire starting, better trash it man
