Im in the process of setting up a peacock cichlid tank. Ive been in the lfs's around me and keep being drawn in by the congo tetra they had. So i ask this, which would you rather keep in a 65 gallon.

I would do the peacocks. You can put congo tetras in a smaller tank than a 65 without issues, but peacocks require larger tanks. I would go for the big fish while you have the big tank (y)

I would do the peacocks and go with an all male peacock tank.

Yup, I would go with the peacocks, and then if you really want to, set up a 20-30 gallon and put some congo tetras in it :) It's a good excuse for another tank, and then you can have both at the same time :) I just think you should go for the big fish while you can, and set up a smaller tank for the smaller fish later. :brows:
