Cons of a Pleco? (help save an innocent pleco!)

tell her you don't want the pleco as an excuse to not clean. they're very messy fish and just add to the problem, mention if you want to get fish you know you are responsible for caring for them, and adding an algae eater would be like making an excuse to not care for them properly

Please make sure to read all posts before responding. I have solved the problem by choosing to get a bristlenose. I'm getting this fish because I like it, and not for any other reason. It may help with algae, and that's a perk, but I like the bristlenose all the same.
