Cory catfish

I read that you should have at least 4 cories. Can you get 4 different cories or it should be 4 of the same kind? Thanks.

I have two pandas and a emerald and they do fine

i usually like to keep my cories in schools of atleast five.

Depends also of the size of the tank, in small tanks 4 will do fine

I don't really think the species quite matters, as long as they have safety in numbers.

I wouldn't put any cory with any cory... if they're relatively the same size it'll be fine though. For instance, I wouldn't put a panda cory and a brochis cory in the tank together in an attempt to shoal with each other.

I have 1 cory catfish and he does just fine

I have 3 emerald cories and 3 spotted cories and they all live happily together. Sometimes they ever shoal together.
