I need to use aquarium salt for a sick fish (fin rot). I need to use a tank that already has substrate (carib sea mini gravel). I was planning on adding cories to this tank but clearly I can't now. After the fish is well and removed or I get an alternate tank for the sick fish I would still like to add them to this tank with this substrate, will the salt in the substrate effect them. I would rise it thoroughly via water changes after the sick fish is removed but are they sensitive enough to be disturbed by a very small amount of salt?

:hide: I'm sure the answer is going to be to just remove the substrate but I really don't want to. Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhh I just added it less than two weeks agooo. :banghead:

No, A little salt is OK. I put around 1tbsp in my 27g tank and they actually are liking it. (Albino Cories and albino BN pleco)

All I would do is a gravel vac or two and some water changes, of course.
