Crazy Cat - Help from kitty owners

I train cats with squirt bottle. They are allowed to watch birds or fish CALMLY ! But if they go into stalking mode or obsess they get nailed !

I have birds as well as small fish tanks with dogs ( Whippets with high prey drive ) and cats.

Dogs aren't allowed to kill cats or birds.
Cats aren't allowed to attack dogs or birds or fish.
Birds and fish not allowed to party past midnight j/k

I set rules boundaries and limitations from day one. New cats aren't allowed near birds or fish except when I'm home to train. Once newness wears off and critters behave then I'll trust them more.

I try to set them up to succeed.

My Canary has landed on my dogs and my Cat by accident. They hold still til I can get him off.

Ha ha that's awesome! I do want a canary someday, it's the only realm of the animal kingdom I have not owned. I have owned tortoises, turtles,
dogs, cats, newts, and fish. Birds, here I come!!

OMG!!! That is HORRIBLE!!! I am glad my 3 cats are not very adventurous....

Oh that is SO freakin' sad... Unfortunately with this particular kitty, this is what I invision.

I am going to order more sticky tape and a scat mat and secure my tops. I agree that jumping up or down is tough on the lids. If the kitties have a lateral place to sit and watch, they seem less interested in jumping on top.
