I purchased Fluval multi veggie formula flakes for my new baby cichlids. The pellets were simply too large for them. Now that they have dabbled in size they enjoy half flakes and small pellets.
The problem is that I still have a three quarter box full of flakes to feed them. At first the flakes were large and they ate them all quickly. However, the flakes seem to have crushed into much smaller pieces so when I put them in the tank a large part of the flakes end up in the gravel.
How do you deal with this problem? I will eventually feed them only pellets but I don't want to throw away the perfectly good flakes.
