What is the best crunchy food for small puffers. I would rather not have to start a separate tank for snails but if there's no other way then i will.

What puffers are we talking about? Dwarf puffers are pretty set apart from the others, their beaks don't grow and they don't crunch the shell like other puffs, instead the more eat the snail itself directly. You can find per snails everywhere, people don't want them. Most brackish puffs require you to trim their teeth. Most of the time snails and crunchy things just aren't enough.

Oh ok then I'm going with dwarf puffers. I don't want to be a fish dentist.
