curious bgk...

i hardly get to ever see my black ghoust knife fish even at feeding time. He is generally in the cave or inbetwen the plants looking for food. On the rare occassion i flip the lights on and he will scammer from one side to the other to hide, it apears as though he is swimming side ways.
I was just curious if this was normal... haha when he is in his cave he is upright its just when he is going over a distance he apears to be sideways... 8O

Perfectly normal....dim the lighting considerably, and you will see him more.

I've had my brown knife a while, and he's started to come out whether the lights are on or off. He's very curious and very tame, probably my favorite fish in the 55. I don't know if the ghost knife fish are the same or if they're more strictly nocturnal.

they are such odd fish. I was watching him last night i turned on a night light to watch him and it was dim enough he came out. They are quite an amusing fish to watch.
