I spread out the micro sword, i wanna follow its spreading progress. Also the plant in the center, i think its amazon sword (could be wrong), i had in an old tank that got filthy for the past idk 3 years or so. I wanna follow how it grows out, if at all. Its a tough plant with lots of roots im sure it will come back.

Red lep strip light for motorcycle came in from amazon. I wanted to give the tank a bit of a night effect. Since the background is inspired from lava rock in Hawaii i thought a crevice of magma would be cool. The bubbles glow an amazing red and at night it does look good. I just cant get a decent picture of it, iphone cameras suck. So much for hd.

Close up of each stone. The other side of the geode has a hole drilled in it. It was made to hold tea light candles. I wonder who may one day call it home.

What kind of paint did you use?

Dry lok with charcoal cement colorant. Its very easy to use dosnt leave any residue or effect levels of tank. Normally used for bathroom tiles but recommended for pools and ponds. I heard through good sources, it holds up forever unlike cement. Something diy background people should know.

Your tank looks great! I love gouramis. I bought 2 Giant Gouramis an a Pearl Gourami last week. They are fun to watch. And fast too! I tried to get a picture of them.

Nice looking tank my friend. I know the kind of work it takes to get a tank setup and going and it looks like you have put in a lot of time and effort that is paying off. I'll try to keep up with your thread and see the progress.

@thursyanna; im really starting to love gouramis myself. I was looking a few different types to figure out what kind rizo is, they are all so pretty. Yours are too cute to boot :) . @lucas thanks i might have another awesome trick up my sleeve later... Stay tuned.

I added this vine from an old lizard terrarium today. The water got pretty cloudy from digging in the gravel. Nxt payday ill probably replace it with real plants, though in the mean time i think it looks great. So far the only real plant i want is Tiger Lilly... Ill keep an eye out for interesting low growing plants, suggestions are welcomed emensly.
