To give a quick summery of my setup 150gal bow fresh (with little salt I wouldn't call it brackish) I was thinking of adding in 3 large shells I picked up during my vacation in Bahamas they have been sitting out side for a few years and now that I have a large tank I was thinking of cleaning them up boiling it to kill whatever is on it and then putting some kind of clear coat shine to protect it n place it in the tank my 2 questions is what should I coat it with and would it be ok in the tank after coating?

I'm a pretty newish aquarium guy (only been doing this for like a year), so take what I say with a grain of salt.

I don't think you would have to coat it with anything. After you rinsed or boiled your shells they should be fine...just know that shells raise your ph.
