Diatoms in a cold water aquarium. What to do?

Hi ppl,
I have 2 10 gallons aquariums, one with 4 3" golsfish, 2 snails and a pleko. Im facing a diatom problem, i think it s from the light, i use to have the same problem with my other aquarium(plattys, guppys and an ottocinclus) and i bought an ottocinclu and the problem was solved.
For my cold water aquarium, i bought a pleko but the problem isn t solved, is there a special fish i could buy? Do ottocinclus live in cold water? Please help me out

You really don't have room for any more fish .... Four 3" golds is too much for the 10, never mind the Plec & snails.

What are your parameters? I would think that you would be needing large & frequent water changes to keep things under control. If you have diatoms, they should be easy to vacuum up. So just vacuum them up with your pwc's. <Diatoms are mostly found in new tanks, should go away after a while.>

In the long term, you would need a bigger setup for your critters.
