Hi, have a problem with dirty, cloudy water. Have had tank set up for two months and have regular water/filter changes. The Nitrite is 0, the O2 is good. I have a siphon cleaner for the stones and clean weekly. I have 4 Mollies, 4 platies, some Neon Tetra and 2 Plecos. I am missing something important? Is there anything to keep the water clearer? Please advise. Thanks in advance. John

Tank size

I don;t know about the amonia but the tank size is 108 Litres (101cm x 40 cm x 50 cm)

What do you mean by dirty? What color is the water? Is it hazy/murky? Can you see to the back of the tank?

You should have water test kits for ammonia, nitrites and nitrates, this way when a problem arises, you will be able to get better help. :D

Yep..yep..buy a kit. *agrees with menagerie*

Can give you a few good ways to clear it, ,but the root problem is there..and looking clear does not mean isn't chock full of dangerous by-product chemicals
