Dividing a tank
I have a mean betta in a 10 gal, but i have some baby mollies that need to come out of the breeder as they are getting to big for it. I'm wondering what is the best and cheapest way to divide the 10 gal. so that the fry are safe and the betta is happy, while allowing water to circulate through bot sides.
thanks for any suggestions. |

I have seen people use the 1/2 inch egg crate grill from a fluorescent light fixture. But if you want to keep the fish totally sperate, check out www.drsfostersmith.com and look for tank dividers.

Your best bet is probably a tank divider you can buy at a LFS. There are also DIY methods. Take look at the DIY forum as some people created barriers so small fish don't get sucked into the filter. The same premise should work for a divider as well.
