Does Micron Filter Pad work well with HOB filter? - Aquarium Advice

I have a 46G tank with a Whisper 60 power filter. MY water is pretty clear but can still see some suspended particles. I vacumm gravel once every 2 weeks during 20% water change. I do not overfeed my fishes. So, I saw some 50 micron filter pad from BigAl's http://www.bigalsonline.com/catalog/...tegory_id=2581

Have anyone used these product with success? I mean does these product make a difference? I like crystal clear water in my tank, but just wondering wether this product can help my problem without spending much $$$ on an additional diatom/canister filter.

Appreciate your 2cents

It does make a difference, but I am not sure that the extra cost over some filter floss is worth it for nearly the same results.
