driftwood wont sink

I have a pretty decent size driftwood I put in a 5 gal bucket sumerged with boiling water for 24 and it still wont sink any ideas I can do?? Thanks

It will take a lot longer than 24hrs, be patient especially for the larger pieces. Ive had a small stick like wood sink in 48hrs and Ive had a larger piece of wood have to be weighed down in the aquarium for weeks before it was able to keep itself submerged. You have two options here, you can wait until the wood sinks by itself, or you can weigh it down with an object either placed ontop of the wood or you can drill a hole through a piece of slate and attatch it to the wood(then burry the slate in the substrate). Other than that theres not much you can do to convince wood to sink, its not a good listner.
