What is the minimum tank size for a dwarf gourami and how big do they get?

Okay. So at PETCO the sign said they like to be with fish that are similar to them? Is this true?

I would think not, since I think they get aggressive with their own species...I've heard of issues with Betta too.

nope they hate their own species and bettas. it's best to keep peaceful non nippy fish with them. most commonly the neon tetras.

Really? I've kept three in a tank altogether, it seemed fine and there was no agression...then again they were females and one male (now just one female). Fifteen gallosn provides comfortable accomadations for this fish, and some fish like neons and glowlights won't nip at it, mine didn't.

I have two makes in tank. They scuffle from time to time but mostly just stay on their side of the tank. Love the little guys

Honestly, I wouldn't put a dwarf gourami in a 10gal but that's just my opinion. *maybe* a Honey Gourami, but not a DG. A 20 gal would be the smallest tank that I would recommend.
