Eel ID

Hi! I need some help with the ID of this eel. I was told it was a Fire Eel but the markings/colors don't look right to me. Any ideas?

Thanks!

I'm just throwing this guess out there, could it be a zig zag?

I looked up zig-zag, tire track, peacock. IMO I think Zig-Zag is a lot closer than Fire Eel. I am still not sure though.

That's a zig zag eel. Generally, they are small and peaceful.

How did you find that? My sources say that these fish grow up to 8 inches max.

Taken from online

"Mastacembelus armatus can reach up to 36" (91cm) in its natural habitat but does not usually exceed 20" (51cm) in captivity."
