Been having a problem with my new eheim leaking from the top valve.. Finally with teflon tape i got it to stop leaking.. Was never really leaking that bad just a few drops every half hour but it was something i had to fix.. Sometimes buying in store is better than buying online. Hate the thought of having to ship it back and wait another week. Well anyway found out the classic series is now produced in china no longer germany..

Anyone have different setup as far as using diff media sponges carbon etc rather than using the standard provided for better filtration?

I did buy some filter fiber and put some in cannister to polish off water.. Any other ideas please list.
