Ember tetra color

Hey,
I got 5 Ember Tetras about a week ago and they are skittish and hide behind plants and driftwood. My main concern is they are a nice silver color instead of the orangish-red they should be. I thought they would start changing colors once they started getting comfortable with my tank. Does anyone know howling it takes for Ember's to get used to my tank and change colors? Thanks'

If they are anything like my cardinals about 2 weeks, they hide at the bottom by my plants but are up and about now. What else is in your tank? I have a betta and that's probably why they were shy

I also have a dwarf gourami and a couple pygmy Cory's. pretty peaceful tank mates I think.
