Hi I have only had my aquarium a few months an was wondering if I should put an extra heater in during the winter. I have a 125l tank.

The heating is on in the morning and evening am just worried about inbetween that time, can get really cold here and expensive to heat all day! If I put an extra heater in would my tank get too hot when the headings on?

Yeah, that has a thermostat which is good.

What is the coldest the room is likely to get and what is your target temp for the aquarium?

My one doesn't have a thermostat just a bit at the top which can turn up and down, the room temperature just now before the heating goes on is about 14-16 its dropped a bit the last couple of weeks and I've had to turn the heater up almost max to keep my tank at a decent temp, I've just ordered a 200w so hopefully if I swap it out over winter that will do the job!
