So I occasionally feed veggies to my fish and can understand how it helps but I jsut read an article saying you can also feed them fruits. I would figure with all the sugars in fruits that it wouldnt be wise to use them, is it beneficial to feed them fruits? An how would I go about doing this?

Ive only fed blanched lettuce and peas to my fish so Im alittle new to using frozen/fresh foods.

Although many fish will eat fruit it can foul your water quickly. I would avoid it.

I feed both apple and pears to my pleco (no one else in the tank has ever seemed interested). I haven't found it makes any more of a mess than the other fresh foods (less actually than some).

Yeah I was thinking about experimenting them and using fishing line to hold the pieces in place as they are eaten and pull them out after a few hours.
