Feeding raw shrimp??

Hey all..

Quick question....I'm gonna make shrimp for dinner tomorrow and my grocery store sells raw freshwater shrimp. I was wondering if it would be ok to throw a piece into my tank as a snack for my little guys? I'm pretty sure they would go nuts for it, but not sure if it's safe. Any experience or suggestions? Thanks!

Yes it's fine. I do it when I have raw shrimp around also.

Agreed... I suppose it's not much different than buying live shrimp and then finding your fish having a field day.

That's kinda what I was thinking lol. Question though, does it matter if it's freshwater or not? Sometimes the grocery store has fish labeled freshwater and other times it's not.
