I am cycling a small tank that I would like to use for rcs. How do you feed them? Are they ok at about 75 degrees F?

They will except many things like flakes, pellets, wafers, etc. They should be feed every 2-3 days. 75F is alright :)

I have a bamboo shrimp and he is a filter feeder who ets bits out of the current. Do rcs eat out of the current or do they go seek food out? I have had ghost shrimp and they seemed to seek out food rather than wait for it to come to them. Just checking to make sure I am a good shrimp mom.

Unlike bamboo shrimp, RCS will go and scavange for food like many other shrimp (I have Crystal Red shrimp, Red Cherry shrimp, Ghost shrimp, Amano shrimp and a Bamboo shrimp in my tank :) ). Just feed them what you feed your ghosties :)

Awesome. Thanks a ton for the help. I am pretty excited, but it will be a little while since I JUST started cycling my tank.

Your welcome. And patience is the key with cycling a tank, ya never know what will happen ;)

75 degrees is about perfect for RCS. I feed mine spirulina pellets primarily. I didn't cycle their tank when I first started putting together my RCS colony, I did get the tank planted out well and let it run for about a week or so to get a good bit of biofilm built up, but that was it.
