Feeding the right amount

I have 7 fish in my 10 Gallon Aquarium. Im trying to ensure I do not over feed them. Do automatic feeders really work? Should I use a measuring cup?

Any measure of a cup is toooo much.

Think pinch and time. I try to follow the one-two minute rule. Most of it should be eaten in a minute and all of it should be gone in 2. If not I fed too much. Pellets take a little longer they get a five minute window.

Eye is about stomach size. If any food makes it to substrate. Too much. Less is more is my rule.

I have measuring spoons that go down to 1/64 of a teaspoon, and that's about as big of a measuring device as I would use.
