feeding time

Is it okay to turn off the filters when it's feeding time? I have two filters for my turtles, and anything I put in for them immediately and quite quickly goes straight toward the filters; I have been turning the filters to their lowest levels but to no avail.

Is it okay to turn off the filters when it's feeding time? I have two filters for my turtles, and anything I put in for them immediately and quite quickly goes straight toward the filters; I have been turning the filters to their lowest levels but to no avail.

I turn my filters and air pump off for several hours at night for feeding with no problems. The filters run on timers now after I kept forgetting to turn them back on.

I always turn off filters while feeding to keep them from hoovering up all the food

When I had RES, I always removed them to another vessel for feeding. Kept the tank a little cleaner.
