Feeding vegies to bristlenose and otos
I got some bristlenose and otos to clean up algae that was developing. Not only have they controlled it, the have almost eradicated it.
I do have plant chips to feed them but I don't know if they eat very much of these. They probably don't know it is food yet. What vegies do others feed these type of fish and how do you prepare the food? I want to supplement their diet a bit. I know that they will starve if left to just eat algae. I know feeding vegies has been discussed but a search didn't really reveal the answers I am looking for. |

I tried zuccini slices. One bristlenose and one oto have had a bit of a chew on it. It must taste ok to them because the had a reasonable nibble. But there still must be plenty of algae to eat and it seemd that zuccini is not a particular favourite. But it makes a change for them.
