I have a 29 gallon tank and i need a stronger filter or an additional filter. my tank is way overstocked but ive had all the same fish in it for 6 months now with out any problems, but im noticing the filters getting dirtier alot faster and having to do more frequent water changes. i appreciate any and all suggestions.

I have a Fluval 306 on a 55 that's slightly overstocked, and it handles it fine. I also have one on my 37. Check into the 206, it should be fine for a 29.

The specs say its good for up to 40gal.

Depending on how overstocked it is, shoot for 6-10 times tank volume turnover per hour. So for a thirty gallon tank you are looking for a filter, or even better two filters combined, that can do 180-300 gallons per hour.

Thanks. Im gonna shop around for one with those specs
