would a fx5 be overkill on a 60g hexagon tank?

i currently run a 305 and 406 on it and it has good flow and only pushes the fish around if they swim right infront of the outputs

Flow would be the only question in my opinion. If you have an FX5 on hand, give it a shot. If you're thinking of buying one to replace the two working filters you have, I'd say there's no point. Save the cash or spend it on something else. Oh, did you mean 405? No idea what a 406 is.

406 is the newer model of the 405.

I have only had the 406 for about a week. I bought it for $164 on Amazon.com. I thinking about returning it, along with a different filter I bought( that I'm sending back today for sure) that one was $64... on Amazon.com the fx5 is $219. then I could just use the 305 on another tank. and it wouldn't cost me any more than I've already spent

does anyone know if there is a way to adjust /reduce the flow on the fx5
