Will adding new filter floss inside my filter without taking out any of the sponges. (So just like adding it inbertween or on top of the sponges ) affect my water? Or will ot just trap more debris and make my water cleaner? (The ideal.) .. thanks

It will help catch more debris but remember anything that holds debris builds nitrates. You will have to make sure to keep it clean and it will need to be changed often so that it doesnt raise your nitrates.
