Firemouth Picking on Geo

I just bought a geo from my LFS and my firemouth cichlid will not leave him alone. Whats the best way to get the firemouth off the geos back untill hes settled in? I went out and bought 3 tinfoil barbs to break it up but the firemouth keeps at it. I am considering a lights out does anyone have any other suggestions? Also do tinfoil barbs eat plants i cant find much info on them.

I agree. My FM is extremely aggressive. Is there another tank that you could move the geo into?

Unfortunetly, no. Hopefully I can fetch him out tommrow. The tinfoil barbs seem to be breaking it up for now so hopefully he makes it through the might.

A tank divider would surely help for the night, if you have one.
