My Aquariums are in the same room with my computer. Ive got a sizeable set od speakers hooked up to my computer which I play occasionally...umm well kinda loud. You think this is a problem for the fish? They dont seem to even know the difference. Any experts wanna chime in?

...oh and please..no Phish jokes...I know they were comin...heh

The vibrations will find their way to your tank if you play it too loud. I'd put the tank as far away from the stereo as possible and when playing it loudly, turn the lights off in the tank. You can also use foam to lessen the vibrations. Put it below the tank.

I do believe the vibrations from loud music are stressful, but it depends on how much vibration they are getting. Make sure the speakers are not in contact with the tank or the stand, and it would be better if the speakers were not facing the tank, but placed on the same wall as the tank.
